These awards will be given in three categories namely:

1) Young Faculty Research Award

Applicant:
• Should be less than 45 years of age (age as on 30th June on the year of conference)
• Should be the PI/lead researcher
• From teaching hospital upto Reader / Associate Professor
• From non-teaching hospital upto Junior/ Associate consultant
• Should submit original research done in his or her institution with in last 3 years of abstract submission.
• Should not submit the work already published in any journal or presented at any national conference.
• Should be a Member of ISTAC.

2) Resident Doctor Research Award

Applicant:
• Should be a resident doctor with due certification from the head of respective department /Institute /hospital
• Should present his/her own research work carried out in his/her residency period.
• Should submit original research done in his or her institution with in last 3 years of abstract submission.
• Should not submit the work already published any journal or presented in any national conference.
• Should be a Member of ISTAC.

3) Nursing Research Award

Applicant:
• Should be a Nursing Officer certified from the competent authority of his/her place of work.
• Should present his/her own research work carried out during his/her tenure
• Should submit original research done in his or her institution with in last 3 years of abstract submission
• Should not submit the work already published any journal or presented in any national conference.
• Should be a Member of ISTAC.

Important Instructions applicable to all categories

• Acceptance from the awardee MUST REACH to ISTAC secretariat within 7 days of announcement of result.
• Any decline after acceptance will prohibit applicant/ awardee to apply for any competitive paper presentation during the conference of ISTAC for next 3 years.

ISTAC Benefits to the Awardees

• Awardees will be given an opportunity to present their research work in the plenary session in main hall.
• Complementary Registration for the entire conference will be provided.
• Stay during the conference (upto 4 nights single/double occupancy) will be provided.
• A Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/- will be given.
• Travel (to & fro actual Fare or Rs. 25,000/- (whichever is less) only will be reimbursed.

ISTAC ORATION

• ISTAC Oration will be awarded to a person of repute actively involved in patient care/teaching and training or research in the field of Trauma Surgery/ Emergency Surgery/ Acute Care Surgery.
• Nominations will be invited from the members of executive committee by 31st July of the conference year.
• Oration will be awarded from the nominations received from the members of executive committee
• Name of Orator will be finalized by 15th August by the executive committee.
• Acceptance from Orator must reach ISTAC Secretariat by 31st August

Award to Orator will include

• Travel Economy Airfare/ II Class AC/Executive Chair
• Complementary Registration for the entire conference
• Stay during the conference period
• Plaque and Scroll of honor from ISTAC
